lyrics
Forced in line, you should of read the signs
Stuck confined to a daily grind
Ceiling so low nowhere to climb
Work so late you can barely shine
Paycheck time and the bills collide
Debt paid off, never saw a dime
No statement, didn't go online
Made that dough but couldn't call it mine
Move to the future they'll mute ya
Keep it fresh, cutting the suture
Shoot it up, in your medulla
Bleeding lips, feeding the tumor
Gas in the tank humans in rank flipping green
blood in the bank
Shun what you think pumping that crank
Cha-ching when they come back
Delighted to bore and carve in your sore
A Pharmaceutical carnival tour
That draws you in and charges you more
For cotton balls and Caramel corn
You don't have it they'll get it
Perhaps you're forgetting
Your rock is still wet
Your life is the bet
So they'll do it on credit
Applying a ledger of whether you whither in
weather forever to death or get better
Supplying a letter for measures of chems giving
growth to checks that they give to the teller
Every day is a dose
no delay on the kickback
A profit on hosts
Properly doped, posted on sick cash
Forced in line, you should of read the signs
Stuck confined to a daily grind
Ceiling so low nowhere to climb
Work so late you can barely shine
Paycheck time and the bills collide
Debt paid off, never saw a dime
No statement, didn't go online
Made that dough but couldn't call it mine
My opinion would be a bit alternative, I suppose, coming from a hardcore Doom fan. What I like in this kind of dark hip-hop, is the lurking anxiety, the blurred soundscapes where landmarks dissolve. the world is a incomprehensible place to be and musics like this, as doom metal, with similar gears: heaviness, repetitiveness, hypnotic sounds, ominous drones, are pointing the perfect absurdity of it. Always cool to find an artist who blows through preconcieved limitations of chosen genre of said art. Imagination with intelligence made this strange and wonderful sonic experience. warchrist30
